History – I have a great imagination and I loved looking back and imagining what it would be like to be alive during certain historical periods.

Being invited to become Partner at Symes Bains Broomer.

Tell us about one surprising thing you've learned about working in the legal sector so far?
How nervous some clients can be when they first meet you. I don’t consider myself to be particularly scary! One of the most rewarding parts of the job is then putting these same clients at ease with clear and straightforward advice.

What aspect of Law first attracted you to the industry?
The analysis and the debate.

If you could go back in time and give your younger self one piece of advice, what would it be?
Worry less about exams…in fact worry less generally.

What has been you most embarrassing professional moment to date?
Being part of the infamous Eversheds Leeds trainee group performing Take That’s ‘Never Forget’ wearing only a toga. This was in front of hundreds of people at the opening of their Bridgewater Place office. I believe that all footage has been destroyed…

Who (or what) inspires you?
My family…and my favourite golfer, Sergio Garcia.

What is your favourite film or book?
Notting Hill (not very masculine, I know!)

The Canadian Rockies.
