LawNet’s New Chief Executive Takes the Helm

by LawNet | June 10, 2025

LawNet is pleased to confirm that Helen Hamilton-Shaw began her role as Chief Executive at the beginning of June. With over two decades of experience working closely with member firms, Helen brings a deep understanding of the network’s values and mission, ensuring continuity as well as a fresh outlook for the future.

The organisation remains firmly focused on its core purpose: supporting member firms to strengthen and grow through shared knowledge, expertise, and ambition. In preparation for this leadership transition, LawNet has strategically expanded and restructured its team to enhance the support offered to its community.

Recent additions include Lee Woodger, who joins the senior leadership team as Head of Community & Communications. With a strong background in membership organisations, he brings new energy and perspective. George Coombes has been appointed as Head of Operations & Member Services, building on his longstanding leadership within LawNet. Additionally, Betty Heaton joined as Member Services Co-ordinator in 2024, further strengthening the team.

Looking ahead, increasing member engagement remains a key priority with the continued rollout of Project Evolve including the upcoming launch of LawNetConnect, scheduled for this summer, playing a central role. This new platform will provide members with streamlined access to training, resources, events, and support services, enabling them to achieve greater value from their membership through an improved, intuitive interface. Progress is being documented in the LawNetConnect Development Diary.
