A career banker, he was previously head of professional practices at Lloyds Banking Group, leading a team of specialist bankers, in a role that was established at his instigation. Chris is a member of the Law Society’s Law Management Section and was keynote speaker at their Finance & Business Forum in November 2014. As well as a long history of working with the legal sector, he spent many years in commercial banking, working with owner-managed businesses of all sizes. He has been closely involved with law firms throughout the recent changes experienced by the sector and understands the challenges, and the need for commerciality.
Outside of work, Chris is a season ticket holder at Portsmouth FC, his home-town club, and he enjoys watching his teenage son playing football in a local youth league. He gets his best ideas when he's out walking his Cocker Spaniel, Basil.
