What is something that not a lot of people know about you but you WISH more people COULD know?
In the higher floors of glass panelled office blocks, I do not like to be seated in the corner of the room.

What qualities do you feel a successful Senior/Managing Partner should have?
An agile brain, thick skin and perseverance.

Tell us about one surprising thing you’ve learned since becoming Senior/Managing Partner?
The number of invitations to events increases, but the time available to attend them decreases.

If you hadn’t chosen Law, what do you think you'd be doing with your life?
An accountant. My careers interview at school consisted of: 'Which is it to be then, Jinks? Solicitor or accountant?  Go and see one of each and see what they say”.

The solicitor I visited said that the law has its ups and downs, but is always interesting. The accountant said 'be a solicitor'.

If we looked in your desk’s top drawer, what would we find?
The Derby County fixture list.  Always keep the important things in the top drawer.
